Bach Ma National Park
Located between Hue & Hoi An, Bach Ma National park was once a holiday retreat for the French who built villas here which now all lay in ruin. Only declared a national park in 1991, it is home to a variety of animals such as elephants, birds, butterflies and even newly discovered deer like creatures such as the giant Muntjac and Troung Son Muntjac. The best time to visit is between March and September where the air is clear and fantastic views over the coastline and Hai Van pass can be seen from the summit.
