Coromandel to Malabar
A leisurely, fourteen night journey across the southern states of India, starting out from Chennai (Madras), the first important settlement of "The Raj", crossing the plains of Tamil Nadu by train, before climbing to a hill station on the cool slopes of the Ghats. Then on to Cochin, the backwaters of Kerala and finally, a private beach near Kovalam.

Depart London for Chennai with British Airways. |

| Day 02 |
Morning: Arrive Chennai.
You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel in Covelong. You will have the rest of the day at leisure. |

Your guide will meet you and escort you on a private tour of Chennai and the surrounding area. |

| Day 04 |
You will be met at the hotel and transferred to the station in time to catch the train over the state border to Mysore, in Karnataka.
On arrival in Mysore, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. |

| Day 05 |
You will be met and accompanied on a sightseeing tour of Mysore. |

| Day 06 |
You will be met at the hotel and transferred by road across the state border and into the Western Ghats, to the hill station of Sultan"s Battery. |

| Day 08 |
You will be met at the hotel and transferred to Calicut in time to check in for your flight to Cochin. On arrival in Cochin, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the old quarter of the city. |

| Day 09 |
Your guide will meet you at the hotel and escort you on a privately guided tour of Fort Kochi, the old quarter of the city. |

| Day 10 |
You will be met at the hotel and transferred by road to Kumarakom on the banks of Lake Vembanad. |

| Day 11 |
Your houseboat and her crew will meet you at the resort and will transfer you deeper into the Backwaters. |

| Day 12 |
Upon alighting from the houseboat, you will be met and transferred to Kovalam. |

| Day 14 |
You will be met at the hotel and transferred to Trivandrum in time to check in for your flight to Bombay.
Upon arrival in Bombay, you will be met and transferred to the international terminal in time to check in for your flight back to London Heathrow with British Airways. |
