Galle

Thought to be the Biblical city of Tarshish, Galle is one of Sri Lanka’s most historically interesting coastal towns, having been occupied by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. The impressive 17th century Dutch fort, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, encloses the quaint and charming old town.
