Ideal River Resort, Tanjore

A peaceful resort in a stunning location on the banks of the river Vennar, 30 minutes drive from Tanjore. The rooms are simply furnished, but all have lovely views over the gardens towards the river. The food is simple, yet wholesome and tasty and meals are taken on the riverside terrace. A large pool compliments the lush and well maintained gardens. Although not luxurious, this is one of the best places to stay in the Tanjore area.
