Images of India

We are delighted to be joining forces with acclaimed photography teacher, Nigel Wilson, to bring together a two week holiday that will help you improve your photography skills and give you the opportunity of visiting one of the most photogenic parts of India. Designed with the amateur Digital SLR photographer in mind, each location has been chosen for the photo opportunities it affords. Nigel will give evening talks on aspects of landscape, architecture and portrait photography and there will be ample time to try out new found skills and techniques. The journey begins with the bustle of Old Delhi’s winding alley ways and the clean lines and perfect symmetry of the Taj Mahal. The imposing fortified walls of the Amber Palace and the Dusehra Festival in Jaipur (where giant effigies filled with fireworks are set alight by a flaming arrow) are followed by the picturesque rural districts of Bhilwara and Nimaj, the Blue City of Jodhpur, where the Merwar dance festival will be in full swing, and finally the tranquil city of Udaipur.

Another early start as we check out of the hotel and transfer to the train station in time to board the train to Agra. We will aim to get to the station with ample time to allow for the atmosphere of one of the worlds busiest stations to be captured by the lenses.

On arrival we will be met and transferred to the hotel for breakfast. We will then embark on a sightseeing tour of Agra, culminating in visiting the Taj Mahal by the light of the setting sun.
