Kanha National Park

Located in the heartland of India, this is one of the best sanctuaries to see tiger. The Park spreads over 1,945 sq.km of dense forest, interspersed with extensive meadows, trees and clumps of wild bamboo. This area, known as Kipling Country, is where The Jungle Book was conceived. The main attractions at Kanha are tiger, bison, barking deer, black buck, sloth bear, monkey, and leopard. Birds such as storks, teals, pintails, pond herons, egrets, crows, peacocks, green pigeons, kingfishers and woodpeckers are also seen here.
