One of the bigger resorts in Dubai, built alongside a harbour in the style of ‘old Arabia’, comprising three hotels echoing the traditional style of architecture, numerous restaurants, cafes and bars, a traditional style souk, a wide selection of recreational facilities including a health club and spa, spread over 40 hectares of landscaped gardens. Working ‘abras’ (water taxis) cruise along the network of waterways, transferring guests from one point to another. The accommodation is stylish and luxurious, featuring reproduction furniture, latticework and mosaic floors. The staff are unobtrusive, yet the service is of a very high standard.
