MEDHUFUSHI

Another of the Maldives islands effected by the tsunami disaster, Medhufushi has been recently refurbished and is now a successful, beautiful and original resort, excelling with its food, service and beaches. Certainly a worthy 5 Star resort.

Transfer time = 40 mins by Seaplane followed by 15 minutes by Dhoni.

DIVING

Medhufushi doesn’t possess its own house reef but trip to the nearest reef are only a few minutes away on a dhoni, which are regular, and the resort is teamed up with Werner Lau Dive Centre to escort you to the local dive spots. (Over 30 of which are with an hour on a dhoni). The island is an ideal place to learn to dive and you can pick your diving spots most suited to your ability and interests.

All rooms come with flat screen TV’s, satellite TV, DVD players, a CD player and air-conditioning.

The Beach Villas have a private deck, an indoor and out door shower and a King-size bed. The Beach Villa Suites are similar with additional Maldivian swing and an indoor sitting area.

The Beach Family Villas have an extra room for the children along with a connecting door to a second beach.

The Water villas are located over the lagoon with the same amenities as the Beach Villa Suites with an additional Jacuzzi and access to the lagoon from the private deck.

The Honeymoon Villas are also over the lagoon with all the amenities as the Water Villas, but they are only accessible by dingy, making them ultimately private.

FOOD & DRINK

Malaafaiy is the main restaurant in the resort, serving a buffet style menu of international cuisine. Al Fresco is an a la carte restaurant with an 'Asian twist'.

The Lagoon Bar overlooks the lagoon whilst serving cocktails and the Vilu Bar offer snacks throughout the day.
