A thirteen night holiday that introduces you to the joys of Keralan cooking. Visit spice plantations, stay on a working farm and discover traditional Keralan hospitality in a variety of boutique hotels and home-stays.

| Day 01 |
Depart London for Bombay with British Airways. |

| Day 02 |
Arrive Bombay. You will be met on arrival and transferred to the domestic terminal in time to check in for your flight to Calicut.
On arrival in Calicut, you will be transferred by road to the coastal town of Tellicherry. |

| Day 03 - 04 |
You will have the opportunity to explore the town of Tellicherry and to have a couple of cookery lessons with Faizal. |

| Day 05 |
You will be transferred to the station in time to catch the train to Cochin. Here you will be met and transferred south, into the heart of the backwaters, to Mankotta Island. |

| Day 07 |
You will be transferred by road up into the Western Ghats, to Thekkady. This is a very scenic drive, as the mountains are dramatic, the road windy and the waterfalls spectacular. |

| Day 08 |
An early morning start as you will be taken into Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a full day programme which includes both trekking in the forest and bamboo rafting on the lake. Lunch will be provided. |

| Day 09 |
You will be transferred by road to the Kannam rubber estate. |

|
|
|
| Day 10 |
You will have the opportunity to spend the day with Lakshmi, the resident elephant, seeing a demonstration of how she works, watching her enjoy her bath and having the opportunity to go for a ride on her. |

|
| Day 11 |
You will be transferred back down to the coast, to Cochin. In the afternoon, you will be met by a guide, who will show you some of the sights of the old quarter of the city. |

| Day 12 |
You will be transferred by road to the village of Kotamangalam, in the foothills of the Western Ghats. |

| Day 14 |
You will be transferred back to the airport in time to check in for your flight up to Bombay. Here you will be met and transferred to the international terminal in time to check in for your flight back to London with British Airways. |
