Fourteen nights starting from Chennai (formerly Madras) and travelling by car to the amazing temples of Tanjore. A charming "homestay" in the Palani hills and then on, via a hill station, to the magnificence of Madurai, before returning to the coast to experience the French influence at their former settlement of Pondicherry.

Depart London for Chennai, via Colombo with Sri Lankan Airlines. |

Arrive Chennai. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel in the centre of the city. |

Opportunity to explore Chennai and the surrounding area accompanied by your guide. |

You will be transferred by road into the countryside to Tanjore. |
