It is a fascinating country, with a rich cultural heritage and at times a turbulent history; it is home to the world’s largest religious building, the magnificent Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples of Angkor. The temple complex was built between the 9th & 14th century AD and was the political, social and religious centre of the ancient Khmer empire which once stretched from Burma to Vietnam. It is one of the world’s most unique archaeological sites which has put Cambodia firmly on the world map as a unique destination.
